Designing Your Piece

There are a few ways that I like to designing furniture with my customers and it really depends on what your looking for and how much you want to be involved in the process. Here are the four basic ways we can work:

1. Offsite Build (Using my material): This is what I do the most. Clients look at my design package, compile a design, send me dimensions and I build one or more pieces and then deliver them. This is best for tables, benches, chairs, bookshelves, etc.

*You can look at the DESIGN PACKAGE by clicking on the tabel and chair icon below.

2. Offsite Build (Using YOUR material): This is if you have material or an old piece that you want to repurpose, refinish or completely convert. For example, I have had clients who wanted a sink and vanity made from a vintage dresser and a pair of kids beds made from the frame of an old crib. This is also a great option if you have an old piece of furniture you don't use anymore but don't want to throw it out. (I have turned many an old futon into a benche or a head board.)

3.  "Guided" Onsite Build: This is a really cool experience for me and clients who want a built-in unit or other large scale project. After consulting and visiting with the client, we book a few days and I bring the tools and materials and have you work along side me and make design choices as we go. This is really effective (and fun) for clients with basic carpentry skills  and limited tools. I have done this with whole families and it gives a feeling of ownership and accomplishment to the client.

4. In Stock Purchase: I always have a few pieces and smaller crafted items like toys and cutting boards laying in storag. Check out the "In Stock" page to see my current selections.
